Ready to climb your first V5? This is the plan for you if you have successfully climb V3-V4 inside or outside. The plan includes daily exercises for you to complete while climbing in the gym or outside. Training days include themes of increasing power and strength and generalized endurance. The final week of this plan is dedicated to projecting a single V5 and provides projecting tips for each day including mental training practices like visualization and breathing techniques to help improve your performance. The plan is easy to follow and provides outlines of how to do each exercise.
How to Climb V5 is a 4-week daily training plan designed for the V3 climber to excel and enhance their skills to climb their first V5! You will follow exercises specific to climbing movement, technique, and skill on the boulders as well as supplemental training to increase your power and strength using hangboard protocols, campus boards, free weights and mental training. The plan follows a daily routine incorporating rest days and training days. The final week is designed for you to project a V5 and provides expert tips on projecting and using reflection questions to improve each session.
Pre-Requites:
-You have climbed V3 in the gym or outdoors.
-You have access to a climbing gym or boulder field.
-You have access to a hangboard and free weights.
